      The services for Sue Ellen Bass will be held at 2 PM Saturday March 9th at Oak Grove Free Methodist Church with Bro. Aaron Jolly and Bro. Emmit Belgard officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 10 PM Friday, March 8th and from 12 until time of service on Saturday. Burial will be at Black Gum Springs Cemetery in Harrisonburg, Louisiana under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home. Sue, age 72, was born August 21, 1951, in Winnsboro, Louisiana to the union of Charlie and Lessie White. She passed peacefully from this life at her home on March 6, 2024, in Jonesville, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lessie White; son, Sam Bass; nephew Kelton Bass; brothers-in-law, ?Cub? Watson, Bobby Ford and James Byrnes; mother-in-law Ruth Bass and father-in-law Esaw Bass. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 55 years, Freddie Bass; daughter Jill Brown, son-in-law Bron Brown; grandchildren Macy and Jathan Brown; sister Evelyn Ford; brothers Robert White and wife Dolly, Tony White and wife Reba; sisters-in-law Wilma Watson and Betty Jo Byrnes; a host of nieces and nephews and many others who were very special to her including the ?Cotten Patch?, and the Jolly family to name a few. Sue spent most of her years as a housewife making coffee and biscuits for her husband and the crew. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, teaching Sunday school, playing piano, sewing, hunting, and fishing. She was also a substitute teacher for many years. She was a faithful member of Oak Grove Free Methodist Church and a dedicated prayer warrior. Those serving as pallbearers will be Lee White, Tim Neal, Donnie Michot, Joseph Davis, David Jolly, Blake Cotten, Trent Cotten and Jathan Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Triston Michot, John Davis, Laban Ford, Kyle Ford, Barry Ford, Glen Gimbrone, and Austin Neal.
