Nathalie Bassett
Nathalie "Nat" Bassett, 78, of Vero Beach, Fla, died Sept. 4, at Palm Garden Nursing Home, after a prolonged illness. Nathalie was born Feb. 5, 1921, in Franklin, Ohio, and was a lifelong resident of Franklin, until moving to Vero Beach in 1983. She graduated from Franklin High School, in the Class of 1939, and she was a member of the high school band. Mrs. Bassett was retired from the GM Corp. accounting department, in Dayton, Ohio. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, of Franklin, the Franklin Golf Club, the Wildwood Golf Club, of Middletown, and Vista Royale Gold & Country Club, of Vero Beach.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Sam T. Bassett; one daughter, Patricia Anne Folck and her husband James, of Dayton. Two grandchildren, James C. Folck, of Andersonville, Tenn. and Susan Riedel, of LaFollette, Tenn. Four great grandchildren, Jeni and Chris Folck, and Amber and Nick Iredel.
Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation services were provided by Indian River Cremations, of Vero Beach.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family suggested donations be made to the American Heart Association, 237 E. Marks St., Orlando, Fla, 23083, in Mrs. Bassett's memory.
