Wass ? Bassett
A very pretty wedding was celebrated at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. Bassett n March 15 (writes our Rosewood correspondent), when their eldest daughter Alice was married to Mr. Chas. Wass (son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Wass, of Calvert). The Rev. A.E. Barnet, or Brisbane, officiated. Miss Mary Bassett and Miss Amy Smith acted as bridesmaids, and Messrs. F. and H. Wass groomsmen. The bride wore a handsome gown of white paillette silk with glare underslip. The bodice was richly trimmed with xchx of rich point lace; the draped skirt was arranged with a panel of pie tucks and finished with orange blossoms. The long Court train was lined with glare silk, and finished with true lover?s knots. She also wore a handsome embossed veil with wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of white tuberoses and daisies. The bridesmaids? frocks were of cream silk crystallins, with embossed insertion and lace. Their beautiful cream hats were of Tegal straw, and they carried bouquets of white tuberoses and daisies. Mr. and Mrs. Wass left by the evening train for Tweed Heads, where the honeymoon will be spent.
