Ruby Pearl Bass Morgan
Piedmont - Funeral services for Ruby Pearl Bass Morgan, 91, will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. from the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with the Revs. James Rainey and Anthony Copeland officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. this evening. Mrs. Morgan died Thursday at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include one daughter, Mona Dempsey and her husband, Ken, of Gadsden; two sons, Jerome Morgan and his wife, Jane, of Canton, GA., and Warren Morgan and his wife Shelba, of Piedmont; two daughters- in-law, Sara Morgan, Owasso, OK and Ann Morgan, Opp, AL; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gregg Morgan, Grant Morgan, Jason Morgan, Randy Morgan, Brandon Morgan, Aubrey Joel Morgan, Jr., and Gregory Morgan. A Baptist by faith, Mrs. Morgan has resided in Calhoun County for the past 49 years. She was pre-ceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Harold Morgan; two sons, Larry and Joel Morgan; five sisters, Mattie Stinchcomb, Lillie Jackson, Nell Stancil, Myrtis Coats, and Nettie Lou Fallins; six brothers, Johnny Bass, Jack Bass, Luchien Bass, Willie Joe Bass, Benjamin "Bud" Bass and Dorsey Bass. A special thanks to Gadsden Regional Medical Center Critical Care, 8th floor, 8th South, Dr. Jason Ayres and Southern Cardio-Vascular Associates (Drs. McGwier, Head, Szeto and Walker).
