At Wanganui, on Wednesday, Mr. Lewis Harold Bassett, second son of Mr. W.G. Bassett, was married to Miss Eva May Rusden, third daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Rusden, of New Plymouth. The ceremony took place at the Wesleyan Church. The bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. C.E. Hormann, and wore a very pretty gown of creme cashmere. The skirt was prettily trimmed with narrow ruched white ribbon, the bodice being arranged with chiffon and silk lace. The elbow sleeves were finished with same. She wore a long Brussels net veil caught with a cluster of orange blossoms; she also wore a handsome gold muff chain and carried a shower bouquet, the gifts of the bridegroom. Her maids were Miss May Rusden (sister of the bride), Miss Myra Bassett (sister of the bridegroom), and little Hazel Hormann (niece of the bride). Mr. Lewis W. Bassett, cousin of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr. Peter Thomson was groomsmen. The bride's going away dress was a light grey costume, with pink straw hat trimmed with chiffon and roses.
