Mr. Bass was retired after 32 years of service from Monsanto. He was a member of Pinehaven Baptist Church. He was dedicated to the Brent Dixie Youth Recreation. He was an Army Veteran. Mr. Bass was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Iva Bass; sister, Virginia Huff; daughter, Deborah Ann Bass and grandson, Casey Bass. He is survived by his loving wife, Millie Bass; sons, James Larry Bass (Donna) and Gene Bass; grandchildren, Jason and Logan Bass; aunt, Laura Bass and his beloved pet, Angel. Pallbearers will be Jason Bass, Logan Bass, Wink Robins, Lawrence McKinley, Clark Childress and Steve Scott. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Lancaster and Rev. Walter Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at Eastern Gate Cemetery. FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME SOUTH, 100 Beverly Pkwy, is in charge of arrangements.
