  Notes	The Perquimans Weekly, July 12, 1984 Obituary ? Bass Elizabeth Smith Bass, 88, of Route 1, Edenton died Sunday (July 1) at Chowan Hospital. She was a native of Chowan County and the widow of John Quinton Bass. She was a homemaker, a member of Rock Hock Baptist Church and it?s Annie Leary Circle. She is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Blanche Herrin of New Johnsonville, Tennessee, Mrs. Dorothy Brickle of Nags Head, and Mrs. Madge Fleetwood of Edenton; three sons; Linwood Bass of Sunbury, Murray Bass of Edenton and Howard Bass of Houston, Texas; one sister; Mrs. Blanche Hedgebeth of Suffolk, Virginia; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, July 5 in Rocky Hock Baptist Church by Rev. Donald Wagner. Pallbearers were her grandsons. Burial followed in Beaver hill Cemetary.
