Butz, 63 of Oxford, formerly of Wolcott and Ansonia entered into peaceful rest July 21, 2012 at the Hospital of St. Raphael, New Haven; he was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Simon) Butz. Mr. Butz was born October 21, 1948 in Bridgeport, son of the late George and Emma (Bassett) Butz. David was a retired Manager from the New Haven Register Newspaper. Besides his loving wife, David leaves 3 children, David, Daniel, and Danielle, 4 brothers, George Butz, Jr. and his wife Helen of Charlton, MA, Jerry Butz of Bridgeport, Ronald Butz and his wife Martha of Trumbull, and John Butz and his wife Robin of Stratford, a sister, Judy Bierwirth and her husband Donald of West Haven, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
