Thlema F. Bass
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 20, at 2 p.m. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss for Mrs. Thelma F. Bass, 85, of Bassfield, who died January 17, at Forrest General Hospital. Interment was in the Lowland Cemetery. Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 20, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Thelma Iona Freeman Bass was born on January 6, 1925, in Bassfield. She was the daughter of Clifford Freeman and Cora Broome Freeman. She was a homemaker. She was also a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Freeman and Cora Broome Freeman; stepfather, Charlie McDaniel; her husband Major Thomas E. Bass; two brothers, Clifford Freeman, Jr., and Elvert "E.G." Freeman. Survivors include three sons, Tommy Bass of Bassfield, Charles Bass of Valrico, Fla., Gary Bass of Phoenix, Az.; two daughters, Karen Loftin of Bassfield and Carol Jenkins of Flowood; ten grandchildren, Trudi Loflin, Clay Loftin, Joy Courtney, Corey Loftin, Holli Stuart, Connie Jenkins, Kevin Jenkins, Kayla Loftin, Freeman Bass, and Connor Bass; thirteen great grandchildren, Carolyne Loflin, Hunter Courtney, Trevor Courtney, Tanner Stuart, Riles Stuart, Hayes Stuart, Carson Stuart, Madison Loftin, MacKenzie Loftin, Cash Garrett Loftin, Gunner Loftin, Cannon Loftin, and Joshua Myers. Pallbearers were Dan Loflin, Scott Courtney, Anthony Stuart, Kevin Jenkins, Connor Bass, Freeman Bass, Tanner Stuart, Corey Loftin, and Clay Loftin.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Thelma F. Bass, age 85, of Bassfield, MS who passed away January 17, 2010 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Internment followed at Lowland Cemetery in Bassfield. Rev. Brett Gholson and Rev. Charles Loftin officiated.
Pall bearers were her grandsons, Clay Loftin, Cory Loftin, Dan Loftin, Kevin Jenkins, Scott Courtney, Anthony Stuart, Tanner Stuart, Freeman Bass and Connor Bass.
