Felix ?Jim? Bass
Felix "Jim" Bass, age 70, of Hanford, passed away on Monday, Oct. 2, 2006.
He was born Nov. 14, 1935 in Lexington, Mo. to Oscar and Annie Bass. He entered the United States Navy in 1953, serving in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He married Alta Virginia Rice in Hanford on June 10, 1967 and the couple made their home in San Diego and Ventura. In 1972, following his retirement from the Navy, the couple came to Hanford to make their home. Foresters employed Jim as a financial planner for over fifteen years. He was a member of the American Legion, Post #3, Foresters and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley. His hobbies included making jewelry, woodworking, fishing at Lake Kaweah and Lake Success. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by wife, Alta Bass of Hanford; daughters, Cindy Badasci and husband, Joe of Hanford, Sandy Plooy and husband, Steve of Armona, Christine Bass of Oceanside, Cindy Bass of Moline, Ohio, Sharron White and husband, David of Tulare, Susan Johnson of Clovis, sister, Ruth Anne Phillips of Sheridan, Ark.; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three on the way.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Grangeville Cemetery in Armona.

Arrangements are under the direction of People's Funeral Chapel in Hanford.
