Albert Henry Bass, 16, who had quit school to join the Navy, drowned yesterday while swimming ni a stock pond near Sheridan. The youth?s companion, Albert Emberton, said Bass went down at 4 p.m. Sheriff Ray Childers headed a party which recovered the body about 6 pm.m. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs Oscar Bass, Rte. 2, Sheridan; two brothers, Aubrey Dale Bass of the Army and Felix James Bass of the Navy, and a sister, Ruth Bass, Sheridan. Funeeral arrangements will be announced by Buie Funeral Service.
