      June 26, 1938 ? September 9, 2020

Fairye Chloette Lanier Bass, 82, of Stafford, Virginia, passed away peacefully on 9 Sep 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Always motivated by the love of her Savior, she devoted her life to ensuring her family understood that love as well. She was always an active part of church life in the community and spent her last few years as a member of Spotswood Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Every aspect of her life revolved around service. She served her community as a Beautician for many years before moving into a position in Hospital Administration where she finished out her career. Nearing retirement, she took up golf, rising to be a Club Champion at Foxwood Country Club numerous times, where she encouraged her many friends with laughter and joy.
She is survived by her daughters Cindy Lanier Culpepper (husband Randall) and Lynn Lanier Manley (husband Stephen). She also provided love and guidance to her six amazing grandchildren; Kyle Culpepper, Keely Griffith, Kelsie Saefkow, Kaleb Culpepper, Alaina Manley, and Logan Manley, and 7 great grandchildren; Asher Lincoln, and Quinn Griffith, Chloe and Sophie Saefkow, and Kate and Grace Culpepper; and she is also survived by a niece, Amy Bruno, and nephew, Ross Dozier.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leon Darrell Lanier, and a second husband, Stephen Durward Bass, both devout Christian men; her father and mother, Aubrey and Willa Dell Dickens Gomillion; and her sister, Rita Dozier.
A Graveside Memorial will be held at 11:00 AM at Sweet Home Baptist Church, McKenzie, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the ?Lottie Moon Christmas Offering ? International Mission Board? at imb.org. The International Mission Board is a Christian Ministry that has been sending missionaries around the world to share the good news of our Savior since 1845. The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering was constituted in 1888 as a way to organize an annual giving opportunity.
