At a Surrogate's Court, held in and for the county of Columbia, at the surrogate's office in the City of Hudson, New York, on the 7th day of October 1875. Present, Herman V. Esselstyn, Surrogate. In the matter of the application of Lucy Canfield and Edwin Angell, Administrators of, &c., of Bennett Bassett, deceased, to mortgage, lease or sell the Real Estate of the said deceased for the payment of his debts.
On residing and filing the petition of Lucy Canfield and Edwin Angell, Administrators of the goods, chattels and credits of Bennett Bassett, late of the town of Chatham, in said county of Columbia, deceased, praying that authority may be given them by said Surrogate to mortgage, lease or sell so much of the real estate of the said deceased as shall be necessary to pay his debts. Ordered that all persons interested in the said estate appear before the Surrogate of the county of Columbia, at his office in the City of Hudson, on the 29th date of November, 1875, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, to show cause why authority should not be given to said Administrators to mortgage, lease or sell so much of the real estate of the said deceased as shall be necessary to pay his debts. And it is further ordered that all persons having claims against the said deceased may exhibit and prove the same before said Surrogate, at the time and place aforesaid.
