BRICE RYAN BASSETT, 25, of Angola, passed away early the morning of Wednesday, March 25, 2015, as a result of an automobile accident. He worked at Wayside Furniture, Angola. Born Oct. 16, 1989, in Angola, he was the son of Larry S. Bassett and Carol J. (Knapp) Bassett. Brice played football and track for Angola High School where he graduated in 2008. He had attended Indiana University-Purdue University (IPFW) in Fort Wayne. He was a member of Pleasant View Church of Christ, Angola and the Prime Time Bible Study and Community Group through Lake Missionary Church, Angola. He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, going to concerts, sharing God's word and most importantly praying with and for people. Most of all he loved his family and friends. Surviving are his mother, Carol J. Bassett of Angola; father, Larry S. (Betsy) Bassett of Angola; two sisters, Brooke (Nathan) Phenicie of Glenview, Ill. and Brittany (Tyler) Hartman of Angola; one nephew, Owen Phenicie of Glenview, Ill.; grandmother, Bonnie Bassett of Angola; and grandparents, James and Iva Jean Knapp of Fort Wayne; along with loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerald Bassett. Service is 11 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at Pleasant View Church of Christ, Angola. Pastor Mike Cain officiating. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Pleasant View Church of Christ. Burial in Circle Hill Cemetery. Memorials in Brice's memory may be made to Lake Missionary Church for the benefit of the Prime Time Bible Study and Community Group, 9030 W. US Hwy 20, Angola, IN 46703.
