Death of Mr. Wm. F. Bass

Our community was shocked on Wednesday morning last at the announcement of the death, the nigh previous, of Mr. Wm. F. Bass. We learn that dieseas of the heart was the cause of the sudden death; which was probably hastened by a ride to Watkinsville on horseback, Tuesday, exposed to the rays of an unusually hot sun.
Mr. Bass had been book-keeper of the Southern Mutual Insurance Company for many years; the duties of which position he discharged to the entire satisfaction of all concerened. The most prominent trait of his character was his unwavering integrity and fidelity to the tursts reposed in him. No many in our community was more highly esteemed that Mr. Bass.
By his death, a large family is deprived of the main support. His remains were followed to the grave by a large number of our citizens.
