Octogenarian Will Attend State Fair
Mrs. Cornelia Yerger, widow of the late Edward M. yerger, of Jackson, and who has been making her home with her daughter Mrs. W.G. Curg in Saverton, Mo., is in the city visiting another daughter, Mrs. A.A. Trescott, and will attend the State Fair in Jackson. Mrs. Yerger is a daughter of two of the oldest and most prominent families in the south, families identified most intimately with the history of thyis state. She is accompanied by her son, George E. Yerger.
Edward Yerger of Jackson, Grand Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias is a nephew, and she has numberous nephews and nieces in the state who are prominent in the affairs of their respective communities. George S. Yerger of Mounds, La., is one of her numerous nephews.
Mrs. Yerger will visit her old home in Jackson for the first time in fifty years, during which time the capital city has expanded in every direction, and has become a great city having every modern impmrovement, sky scrapers, magnificent churches, state institutions and schools.
