Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Washington Heights Baptist Church, Thomson, Ga., with the Rev. Paul Strickler officiating assisted by the Rev. Lester Clark. Burial will be in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. A native of Telfair County, Ga., he was a World War II veteran. He was a Civil Service employe of Ft. Gordon and Warner Robins, GA. He was a former member and deacon of Helena, Ga., Baptist Church for 18 years and had been a member of Washington Heights Baptist Church for nine months. Survivors include his widow, the former Lucille Rabun; two daughters, Miss Curtis Patricia Bass and Miss Donna Jean Bass, both of Dearing; son, William Michael Bass, Dearing; mother, Mrs. Nora Bass, Scotland, Ga; sister, Mrs. Alma Wynn, Brunswick, Ga.; three brothers, Loran Bass, and Morris Bass, both of Atlanta, and Johnny Bass, Startes, S.C. Friends may call at the residence or at Curtis Funeral Home, Thomson.
