Funeral services were held at the home at 2 o?clock Sunday afternoon, May 3, by Rev. Worth Caughron of Ozark with burial at Ponce de Leon under the direction of a Reed Springs undertaker. Mr. Bass was born May 26, 1847 in Taney county, Missouri. He was married to Clara Massey in 1870 and to this union eight children were born, one of whom died in infancy. Two sons, John and Charles, preceded their father in death. Survivors are the widow, and five children, Ottie Bass of California, Minnie Howard of Lewiston, Idaho, Myrtle Welch of Lowry City, MO, Gertie Wade of Ozark and Will Bass of the home address. Many other relatives and friends mourn his death.
