From Black Creek Bass book:
He was living in Dobbs Co. and bought land from John Barnes in 1763. He was still in Dobbs as late as 1769 when he is listed on a tax roll. There was a Wright Bass who was a Private in Augustine Spain?s Co. of the 2nd Regt. of the NC Militia during the Revolution. Wright moved to the Georgetown District of South Carolina and received by will his Uncle Moses Bass?s plantation of 444 acres. Wright is listed as a Sergeant in the South Carolina Militia during the Revolution. Wright had at least one son that we know of, Right and probably another, Robert. Wright died before 1795 in S. C.

Right Bass Will
In the name of God Amen - I Right Bass of the State of South Carolina and District of Marion Being in perfect memory and understanding yet knowing all must die I am failing and do Make this My Last Will and testament in the following manner to wit. After all my just debts are paid I do give and Bequeath unto my Beloved wife Elizabeth Bass Eight head of hogs ten bushels of corn five dollars in cash. I do give and bequeath unto my daughter Martha Bass sixty three dollars also I do give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Bass ninety four dollars. I do give and and bequeath unto my daughter Rachel sixty three dollars. I do give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah sixty three dollars and one feather bed and furniture. Also I give and bequeath unto my son Right Bass sixty three dollars and I do here by give and bequeath unto my children all my lease hold est and Teniments sith the appertanences equally to be divided between them and lastly of all to the Residence and remainder of my este goods and chattles of what kind and nature after my just debts due and demands are paid to be equally divided between them all of them. I do hereby appoint John Tart and Henry Berry as Executors in my last will and testament hereby Revoking all other wills made by me as Witness hereunto I set my hand and seal this the 10 July in the year of our lord 1823.

An addition to my last will and testament the money I have left in the hands of John Tart and Henry Berry in notes to the amount of three hundred and forty six dollars to be collected when on demand and to be paid out at interest yearly till the heirs become of age with note and approved security to be given for the income of the money.
