  Notes	The Virginian-Pilot, Norfolk Virginia, Sunday, September 6, 1992 Lucille E. Bass Lucille Emma Bass, 77, of the 3400 block of Galberry Road, died Sept. 5, 1992, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Bass was born in Crew, Va. and was a member of Indiana United Methodist Church, Chesapeake. She was a member of Victory Chapter No. 16 Order of the Eastern Star; Past Noble Grand of Cradock Chapter No. 51 of the Rebekahs; and past president of Cross Roads Friendship Club. Survivors include her husband, Chief Earl 'Running Deer' Bass; four daughters, Clara Land of Portsmouth, Peggy Hatton of Sewell, N.J., Carrie Collins of Mobile, Ala. and Sandra Garner of Chesapeake; two sons, Joseph Bass and Bobby Bass, both of Chesapeake; a sister, Ethel DeMark of Chesapeake; two brothers, Frank Bass of North Carolina and Lavern Bass of Florida; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Indiana United Methodist Church by the Rev. William E. Kube and the Rev. Cliff Whitlock. Burial will be in the family cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond Indian Tribal Association.
