Lindsay Lee Bass, 74, of 3609 Griffin St., the husband of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth and a native of Norfolk County, died Wednesday in a hospital. He was a retired employe of Norfolk Naval Shipyard and a member of Western Branch Baptist Church. Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Passmore of South Carolina, and Mrs. Carrie Lee Sorey and Mrs. Christine Langston of Chesapeake; and four brothers, Earl Bass and Albert Bass of Chesapeake, Ernest Bass of Whaleyville, and the Rev. Leonard Bass of Roanoke. A funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Western Branch Baptist Church by the Rev. James Newman. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery with Snellings Funeral Home in charge. The family asks that flowers be omitted. Memorial donation may be made to Western Branch Baptist Church.
