  Notes	Obituary Notices For the Tennessee Baptist Wilson Co., TEN., Sept. 6th, 1847 Died, suddenly at his residence in this county, on Friday morning the 19th of August, Sion Bass, in the 66th year of his age. He was a native of North Carolina, emigrated to Wilson county, Tennessee, in early life. Professed religion at Cook Campground in the fall of ?42. After which he united himself with the Baptist church at Little Cedar Lick of which he was one of its most substantial and orderly members. In the death of his valued citizen, the community in which he lived has experienced a great loss. He was a kind husband, an affectionate parent, and an obliging neighbor, to which was added a spotless, moral character; governed by the most elevated principles of integrity and honor ? and always straightforward in his manner ? he commanded the respect, confidence and esteem of all who knew him.
