Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 19th at Joyner's Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Gene Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and at other times at 5016 Redmon Road, Elm City. Mr. Bass is survived by a daughter, Michelle Bass Hendricks and husband, Johnny Hendricks Jr. of Elm City; a stepson, Robbie Hendricks and wife, Barbara of Nashville; five grandchildren, Hunter, Daylon, Shannon, Brooke and Chad Hendricks; one great-grandchild, Skyler Horne; two sisters, Helen Edwards and Susie Barnes both of Wilson; four brothers, Ronnie Bass of Stantonsburg, Wilton Bass, Roland Bass and Derl Bass all of Wilson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pearl Sanders; two brothers, Bill Bass and Clay Bass. Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net
