Arlene Ryam Hoffman
Arlene was born on March 30th, 1937 in Seattle, WA. She passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on 4/24/14 after a brave five-year battle with cancer. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, George; her six wonderful children, Steve (Sherry), David, Brian (Kathi), Sheryl (Vince), Eric (Debie) and Mark; five loving grandchildren, Jeneane (Clinton), Nick, Cory (Kristen), Tyler, and Cole; and her two special sisters Christine Trainor and Patricia Nordin. Arlene was a lifelong devoted Catholic who graduated from Holy Angels Academy where she would form friendships that lasted over 60 years. Aside from raising her children, she worked outside the home for many years, as well as volunteering for numerous charities. Mom possessed a great sense of humor that carried her throughout her life. She was always available to anyone who needed advice or a non-judgmental ear. She will be terribly missed by her family and friends and we take solace knowing she is free of pain and resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior. A solemn mass will be held on May 10th at 2:00 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 327 2nd Ave S., Kent. Reception to follow at the Parish Hall. The family would like to thank Providence Hospice of Seattle, specifically Penny, Faye, and Mary. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the MS Society, Catholic Community Services, or Providence Hospice of Seattle. Please sign the online guestbook at www.marlattfuneralhome.com.
