- Allen Leroy Bassett, son of Reeve Lee and Lena (Holbrooke) Bassett, was born 1 May 1905 (SSDI) in Kansas City, Missouri according to his marriage certificate. It is more probable that he was born in Anson, Somerset County, Maine. He was living in Fairfield, Maine at the time of his marriage. He died 26 Jun 1969 (MDR) in Maine. He married (1) Olivia Marion Davis, daughter of James and Victoria Davis, on 2 Apr 1925 in Portland, Maine. She was born 11 Nov 1898 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She died in 1946 and is buried in the pauper cemetery in South Portland, Maine. He married (2) Bertha.
At the time of their marriage Allen was living at Fort Williams as a soldier and Olivia was living in South Portland as a house keeper according to their marriage certificate. Olive had another child, Norma Hill with Norman Hill. Norma was born in 1939.
