Survivors include two sons, Dock Bass of Benton and Richard Bass of Sheridan; eight stepsons, Ree Bass of Mississippi, Russell Bass of bearden, Porter Bass of Korea, Paul Bass of Florida, Henry Bass of Virginia, Earl Blann of Louisiana, Wayne Blann of Hampton and Laron Blann of Fordyce; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Opal James of El Dorado and Mrs. Maxine Rose and Mrs Mary Sue Slocum, both of Little Rock; five brothers, Lloyd Avant of Mississippi, Darrell Avant of Hampton, Brooks Avant of Locust Bayou, Luke Avant of Louisiana and Buck Avant of Fordyce; four sisters, Mrs. Georgia Broach of El Dorado Mrs. Esther Copeland of Delight, Mrs. Vivian Oliver of Hampton and Mrs. Myrtis Tucker of Smackover, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Benton Funeral Chapel here. Burial will be at Temperance Hill Cemetery by Benton Funeral Service.
