James Russell Bass of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 21, 1924 in Hopewell, Arkansas the son of the late D.L. and Loyd Byars Bass. He was a member of First United Methodist Church at Sheridan. He loved his church, participating in Senior Olympics for over 32 years, fishing, listening to Sister Virginia Michael sing, and reading The Sheridan Headlight.
Mr. Bass died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 86.
Survivors: Brothers, Paul Bass of Orlando, Florida;
Richard Bass of Scottboro, Alabama; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 31, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Al Michael officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will follow in Temperance Hill Cemetery near Fordyce.
