Mr. Joe Bass

Mr. Joseph M. Bass, 78, of Doerun, died on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
The graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Al Sherling and Sheriff Donald Whitaker will officiate.
Mr. Bass was born on November 25, 1946 in Lakeland, Florida, to the late Andrew Mitchell and Vera Ruth Johnson Bass. He had lived in Worth County most of his life and was a retired a truck driver. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War where he received a Bronze Star. Mr. Bass was a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Carver Bass of Worth County; children, Joe Bass Jr. of Worth County, Samantha Fowler (Robert) of Braselton; grandchildren, Callie Fowler, Ruthie Fowler, Mitchell Bass; brothers, Wayman Bass, Scottie Bass and Hayward Bass.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his sister, Nell Shelton.
