Born in Marshville, N.C., he was a son of the late Edward and Harriet Traywick. He lived in Parksville for 65 years, was a retired cattleman, a deacon at Parksville Baptist Church and a former past master of Masonic Lodge No. 199. Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Margaret Efrid of Oakborough, N.C., Mrs. Amanda B. Thomas of Thomasville, N.C.; brother, Paul Bass of Lenoir City, Tenn. Services at 3 p.m. Sunday at Parkesville Baptist Church by the Rev. Dan Holland. Burial in the church cemetery. The body is at Strom Funeral Home, McCormick.
