Jewel A. Sapp Bass
Jewel A. Sapp Bass, of Madison, died September 25, 2011 at Southern Living for Seniors in Madison. Funeral services will be held at Beggs Funeral Home on Friday, September 30, 2011. Interment will follow at San Pedro Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Beggs Funeral Home, Thursday, September 29, 2011, from 5-7 p.m. Mrs. Jewel Bass was born December 8, 1926 in Madison County, the daughter of the late Samuel Rufus Sapp and Pearlie Viola Barker Sapp. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County, working at Walkers? Store, Western Auto, Van H. Priest Dime Store and the Madison County School System as a bus driver. She is survived by one sister, Juanita Cruce and special cousin, Ruthie Sapp Ammons; a sister-in-law, Rachel Sapp; great-great nephew, Trey Barrs; great-great niece, Mandi Barrs; great-niece, Kym Cruce; and great-niece, Teri Barrs (Bobby); and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Danny Bass; three sisters, Magdalene Morgan, Libbie Cruce, and Pearlie Ruth Hunt; and one brother, Buck Sapp. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and helping others. She was a faithful member of Moseley Hall Baptist Church. Beggs Funeral Home, Madison, is in charge of arrangements.
