In Bridgeport, Conn., April 27, 1980, Carols LeGrande Bassett, age 75, husband of the late Elizabeth Dow Bassett, of 25 Carmen Hill Road No. 1, New Milford, Conn. Funeral services in the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St., New Milford, Wednesday afternoon at 2, the Rev. James A. Purington of the Stratford Baptist Church officiating. Burial in Center Cemetery, New Milford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 57 James St., Danbury, Conn. (Lillis Funeral Home)

Norwalk Driver Is Absolved In Fatality
Bridgeport ? Carlos L. Bassett, of 360 West avenue, Norwalk, was absolved from criminal liability by Coroner John J. Phelan in the death of Charles Burrall, 75, 235 Golden Rod avenue, who was fatally injured at Main street and Beechmont avenue on February 20, when he was hit by Bassett?s car.
Burall who had alighted from a bus, walked into the path of Bassett?s car, according to witnesses.
