Linda Marcelle Cohoon, 90, of West Shore Drive, Elkhorn, WI, died at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009. She was born on July 11, 1918, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Frank and Mathilda (Randak) Knourek. Linda was married to Emile Bel Bassett from 1944 to 1959 and to Howard Cohoon from 1970 to 1989. Linda owned and operated her own cosmetic studio, Bright Future Inc., in Chicago, IL, for over 35 years. She is survived by her daughter, Clare (Fr. Ezekiel) DuBois of Elkhorn; four grandchildren: Winni (Joel) Carter of Albuquerque, NM, Joseph (Juana) DuBois of Taos, NM, Amelia (Ray) Lopez of Colorado Springs, CO, and Benjamin (Breana) DuBois of Taos, NM; three great-grandchildren: Hiromi DuBois, Brian and Akasha Lopez; and her brother, Frank (Bobbie) Knourek of Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her two husbands, Emile and Howard. Memorial Mass will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at HAASE-DERRICK-LOCKWOOD FUNERAL HOME, 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn, WI, with Father Ezekiel DuBois officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of Mass.
