East Providence ? Pearl M. Bassett
PEARL M. BASSETT, 76, of 9846 41st St. North, Pinellas Park, Fla., an employee of the former East Providence Controller's Office, died Thursday at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla. She was the widow of Earle H. Bassett.
Born in East Providence, a daughter of the late Alfred H. and Vera E. (Knight) Phillips, she moved to Pinellas Park in 1972.
Mrs. Bassett was assistant finance director of St. Petersburg Beach. She was former president of the Unit 2 Women's Club in Pinellas Park.
She leaves four daughters, Cynthia Ann Dillon, Deborah Jean Andrews, both of East Providence, Beverly Earlene Goulet of Chepachet and Claudia May Cote of Smithfield; two sisters, Claire Carlson of East Providence and Marilyn J. Sanders of Dallas, Texas; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the J.H. Williams & Co. Funeral Home, 210 Taunton Ave. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery in Rehoboth, Mass.
