Billie Jean Neal Bass

Billie, age 94, joined her husband in their heavenly home on Saturday, July 19, 2025. She was a native of Kelly, LA. and a longtime resident of Hammond, LA. Billie was truly an artist. Her hands created beautiful oil painting, porcelain figurines; and also assorted women?s jewelry. Billie could sew with the best of them, from clothes to upholstery. She served the Lord while working as secretary for Woodland Park Baptist Church years ago. Her family always came first. Bille was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Billie is survived by her son, Rick Bass (Theresa); grandchildren, Lane Bass, Kristi Bass, Lauren Bass Edwards (Chris), Rachel Bass Stevens (Will), and Troy Bass (Rebecca);10 great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Emogene Bass.
Billie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 77 years, Charles Richard Bass; son, Tracy Neal Bass.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation from the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy 190 West Hammond, LA. on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment to immediately follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
