Betty Ellen Dill
Betty Ellen (Greenlee) Dill, 91, of Enfield, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. She was born on June 2, 1931, the daughter of Robert Carlton and Goldie Lucille (Bassett) Greenlee. Betty married Elmer Dill in 1948. She worked as an L.P.N. from 1983 to 2003. Betty attended the First Pentecostal Church of Carmi and was a past member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and attending cookouts and traveling with her family. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. During her career as a nurse, she served her patients and coworkers with dignity and honor and was loved by all she cared for.
Betty is survived by her children, Donna English of Texarkana, AR, Carla (Don) Coston of Emma, IL, Gerald "Butch" (Jamie) Dill of Olney, IL, Sarah (Bob) Puntney of Crossville, IL, Jennie Connor of Hurst, IL, Michelle (Mark) Moss of Mt. Vernon, IL; grandchildren, Harley Dodd, Darrin Coston, Danny Coston, Donnie Coston, Dustin Coston, Jarrod Dill, Shannon Dill, Jason Connor, Nikki Connor, Kami Moss, and Cody Moss; great-grandchildren, John Michael, Braden, Dylan, Brittany, Bryce, Asher, Avery, Dawson, Maci, Justice, Carter, Cadin, Draden, Mason, Jaycee, Kynlee, Raenee and Ellie and a brother, Jim (Marjorie) Greenlee of Ludington, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Dill; her parents; granddaughter, Carrie Dill; and sons-in-law, John English, John Connor, Bill Miller, and Jeff Griffin.
A graveside celebration of life for Betty Dill, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Family and friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Stendeback Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
