Obituary
Andrew F. Bassett, a former citizen of this county, died at the residence of his brother-in-law, Squire Stanford, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, on Sunday, August 5th, 1883, after a lingering illness, of paralysis of the stomach, in the 58th years of his sage. Mr. Bassett was born in Litchfield, Conn., Septmeber 23rd, 1825. He came to Randolph, this county, in 1837, and lived there till 1848, when he remove to Chicago where he entered the service of the Illinois Central Car Works, where he continued till five weeks before his death, when he went to the residence of his sister, Mrs. Squire Stanfrod. He was a borhter of Mrs. Horace S. Doty, of this village
