      James Richard Bass
      James Richard Bass, 50, 5419 Lee, a retired lumberman, died yesterday in a Little Rock hospital. He was a Methodist. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Thompson Bass; his mother, Mrs. S.E. Bass, Little Rock; four brothers, D. L. Bass, Bearden; E. G. Bass, Beaumont, Texas; S.J. Bass, Farmerville, Louisiana, and O.P. Bass, El Dorado; three sisters, Mrs. C.W. Murry and Mrs. Virginia Bass Ellis, both of Little Rock, and Mrs. J.W. Anthony, Murfreesboro.
      Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Healey & Roth Chapel by the Reverend W. C. Halsell and the Reverend J.T. Gotcher. Pallbearers will be Ree Bass, Carroll Murry Jr., George Bass, Oliver Bass Jr., Hubert Bass, Douglas Bass, John Ellis and John Anthony. Burial will be in Roselawn.
