Sam J. Bass
Farmerville, La. (Special)
Sam J. Bass, 74, a former mill operator, died in a clinic here Thursday afternoon.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Birdie Lee Bass, two sons, Sam Bass Jr., Liberty, Tex., and Douglas Bass, Mauriceville, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Nell Bass Williams, Mauriceville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Betty Jo Tettleton, Farmerville; two brothers, E. G. Bass, Beaumont, Tex.; and O.P. Bass, El Dorado; three sisters, Mrs. J.W. Anthony, Murfreesboro, and Mrs. C.W. Murray and Mrs. Virginia Ellis, both of Little Rock; ?? grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Temperance Hill Union Methodist Church near For?? with the Rev. Larry Ram??? and the Rev. Jewel Mu??? officiating.
Burial will be in the Temperance Hill Cemetery Under the direction of the First National Funeral Home of Farmerville.
