      BANTAM - Irving E. King Jr., 57, passed away on Sept. 22, 2011, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was the soul-mate of Betty Tancsik.

      Irving was born in Watertown Nov. 6, 1953, son of the late Irving and Marie (Fama) King. He was raised in Watertown on his family's farm on Bassett Road; the road was named for his great-grandparents. He worked in auto body repair for over 30 years and was capable of transforming an old car into a piece of art. He loved bowling, his plants, cooking and his cowboy boots.

      Besides his wife, Irving leaves many cousins and his special, loyal friend, his dog, Buddy.

      At Irving's request, there will be a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery, North Street, Watertown, on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 1:30 p.m., at which time his cremains and those of his father will be buried together. The Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., Watertown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.

      Irving, you were my sunshine; you brought joy to my life; you taught me how to laugh again; and you always cared. You were a blessing in my life and the wind beneath my wings. I will never forget you, my sweet Irving. You will live in my heart forever.

      BANTAM ? Irving E. King Jr., 57, of Bantam, died Thursday, September 22, after a short battle with cancer. He was the soul-mate of Betty Tancsik.

      Mr. King was born in Watertown on November 6, 1953, son of the late Irving and Marie (Fama) King. He was raised in Watertown on his family's farm on Bassett Road; the road was named for his great-grandparents. He worked in auto body repair for over 30 years.
