  Notes	Durham Sun, North Carolina, Monday, August 10, 1987 Mrs. Sallie H. Bass Mrs. Sallie Howell Bass, 87, of 655 Cranford Ave., died today in Durham County General Hospital after a long illness. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson. Conducting will be the Rev. Dewey Kerr. She was a native of Green County. She was a retired private duty nurse. She was a member of the Holloway Street Baptist Church and the Phoebe Bible Class. Surviving are a son, Dewey Thomas Bass of Wilson; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Bass Robbins of Wilson and Mrs. Birty Bass Gilford of Rocky Mount; a sister, Mrs. Ebbie Howell Thigpen of Rocky Mount; and 11 grandchildren. The family will be at Hudson Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
