- Obituary for Louise B. Van Valkenburgh
Our Louise walked into heaven on Monday , August 9th. We are crushed, heartbroken and we just want to see her and love her some more.
Louise loved Jesus, her husband Billy, her family. She loved Baby Girl her little dog and Baby Girl wonders what happened. Louise loved Gods creation, all animals, the sky, the moon and took time to stop and thank God for it all.
She loved people and understood those who were hard to understand. She was so compassionate, always shared her smile with everyone. Louise always saw the good in every one and in life. She had a lot of challenges in her life but she kept believing and living. At Christmas, Louise was the one everybody couldn't wait to see. She brought so much joy,
had so many stories and we would all laugh until we cried. And that went on whenever our family got together.
She just wanted to love and be loved.
Even the past few years of chemo, radiation she was full of faith, courage and love- so thoughtful of everyone else. We always think we'll have time to tell our loved ones all the things we love about them as we did tell each other but I want to say more. We would always talk for at least an hour on the phone, laugh and at times cry together.
Louise was very smart, always excelling in school but so humble and sweet. She was in the homecoming court at Spring Valley High one year, was a Millie Lewis Model and later an instructor. She modeled in Palm Beach and was a model for Elizabeth Arden. She traveled for Lancôme as an Executive Trainor. She was fabulous, very fashion forward, Aerosmith's biggest fan and met Steven Tyler a few times. She was elegant but so down to earth. Louise , one of the most wonderful people of the world.
Darn, we miss you my sweet sister BUT
All this is temporary. Jesus, The Resurrection And The Life. He told us if we believe Him we will never die.
We Will See Her Again. We thank God For You, Louise.
Love, Bobbie
Louise was a most beautiful person both inside and out! When I met her brother over 33 years ago, we began a friendship that would last till her death. She loved to have fun and we went on many vacations together to Myrtle Beach, Bikers week, Atlanta downtown, partying on her houseboat in Atlanta and everywhere she went she turned the crowds heads! She was very tall and long legged and was a Miami Dolphins cheerleader in her day as well a New York runway model, she also was a Regional trainer for Lancombe beauty products for years. She was a free spirit and l loved her for that she met her husband Billy in Atlanta and they lived a long loving marriage up until she parted this earth. Billy loved her and took excellent care of her as she fault cancer till the end. I will miss you sweet girl, fly high until we are all together again!

IRMO, SC (WIS) - An Irmo couple whose dog stole the hearts of the Midlands after it went missing following Wednesday morning's fiery crash on Interstate 26 will sleep a little easier knowing that their pup, Baby Girl, has returned home.
"She's a precious spirit, and she gives us strength." owner Louise Van Valkenburg said. "She's our Baby Girl. I think she'll be Angel Girl from now on. She is a survivor."
Louise said she and her husband, Billy, were heading out to look for Baby Girl Friday morning when they received a phone call from a woman claiming her father found their missing fur-child.
"I was just working on my trailer in the back, and she came around the corner." Stuart Parks said. "And I just started calling her over to me, she just kind of laid down."
The dog showed up in Stuart's backyard Friday morning near the intersection or Tramp Road and Jamil Road,
which is close to the area where the crash occurred.
"I fell so blessed, and I can say it's nothing less than a miracle," Louise said.
All things considered, Baby Girl is doing well, her normally-fluffy coat is charred and she has a few other battle scars too.
"She has some burns on her ears, on her paws, and on her little stomach."
But the Van Valkenburgs are just glad she's home and thankful for all the help that make it happen.
Welcome home, Baby Girl.
