  Notes	The Morning News, Savannah, Georgia, March 25, 1900 Died From Blood Poisoning Valdosta, Ga., March 24.-News was received here this morning of the death of Mr. Duncan Bass in the Clyatteville district, in a rather unusal manner. Mr. Bass stuck a splinter in his hand ten days ago, the small splinter going in between this thumb and forefinger. The splinter was extracted, but the wound became in flamed and later erysipelas set in. This was followed by blood poisoning and the unfortunate man died in agony last night.
