Mr. A.F. Bassett of North Taylor, after a long and serious illness,
died Wednesday the 13th. His remains are entered in Evergreen Cemetery, Friday
the 15th. The funeral cortege was met at Cedar River bridge by the Masonic
body of the city and escorted to the cemetery. The deceased was a gentlemen
well known and universally respected, and his bereaved family will have the
sympathy of a large circle of friends both north of the river and in Vinton.
