Keosauqua - Services for the Reverend Dale M. Bass, 43, killed in a traffic accident Monday, have tentatively been scheduled to be held at the United Methodist church of Keosauqua at 2 p.m. Thursday. The body is at the Catcott funeral home, where a memorial to the minister has been established.
Mr. Bass was born July 10, 1925, at Barberton, Illinois, the son of Francis and Fern Knaeble Bass. He was married to Frances Murray in Chicago on June 29, 1946.
Mr. Bass was a graduate of Garrett Theological seminary, Evanston, Illinois. Since 1968, he had been pastor of Keosauqua Center chapel and the Bentonsport United Methodist church. From 1954 to 1959, Mr. Bass was assistant minister of the United Methodist church of Harvey, Illinois.
He was pastor of the Oakville-Kingston circuit from 1959 to 1964, and was minister at Bayard-Wichita from 1964 to 1968.
Surviving: The wife; his mother, Mrs. Frank Dean of Central Park, Oregon; brothers Clair Bass, Franklin Park, Illinois, and Virgil Bass, Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and sister Mrs. Beatrice Ross of Chicago.
