Point Pleasant - Harry N. "Dick" Bass, 57, of Point Pleasant, died Tuesday, July 17, 2001 at his residence.
Born July 4, 1944 in Point Pleasant, he was a son of the late Harry L. Bass and Freda (Gardner) Bass. He was a carpenter, a member of Stewart-Johnson VFW Post 9926 of Mason, and the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (Thomas) Bass; six brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Twila M. Bass of Point Pleasant; stepchildren, Toni Givens of Middleport, Ohio, James C. "Bub" and Jill Stewart of West Columbia, Rod and Kellie Hogle of DeGraff, Ohio, Tina Spencer of Point Pleasant, Mark and Lois Clendenin of New Haven, and Angela Clendenin of West Columbia; sisters-in-law and husbands, Nancy and Delano Jackson of Point Pleasant, Barbara Correll and Tom Conrad of Letart, Ronnie and Gale Bass of West Columbia, Faye and Junior Mays of Johnstown, Ohio, Becky and Ronnie Clendenin of Columbus, Ohio, Kim and Bill Clendenin of Evans, and Patty Clendenin of West Columbia; ten step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2001 at Foglesong-Tucker Funeral Home, Mason, with the Reverend Herman Jordan and Pastor Isaiah Crump officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Cemetery, New Haven, with military graveside rites conducted by Stewart-Johnson VFW Post No. 9926 and Smith-Capehart American Legion Post No. 140.
