Swickard-Bassett
The garden of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Bassett on Goodwood Boulevard formed the setting Saturday evening for the wedding of their daughter, Pamela Jean Bassett and Steaven W. Swickard of Houston. The Rev. Jerry Ratcliff performed the 7 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the bridegroom are Charlotte Fuller of Crawfordsville, Ind., and Warren E. Swickard of Greencastle, Ind.
The bride wore a gown of white French organdy over taffeta with a fitted, lace-covered bodice, double row of ruffled organdy around the scooped neck and an a-line skirt with a flounced hemline. She wore a picture hat trimmed in lace and carried a nosegay of daisies, yellow sweetheart roses, baby?s breath, stephanotis and greenery.
Kimberly Ann Bassett was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Sara Brewer and Dottie Blackwell. They wore gowns of seafoam taffeta with overlays of white voile. Each carried a basket of yellow and white daisies with sweet peas.
Best man was Terry Knies and groomsmen were Adam J. Birkenhuer and Rob Etheridge. Tim Douglas was usher.
Following a reception at the Sherwood Forest Country Club, the couple left for a trip to Hawaii. They will reside in Houston.
The bridegroom was host for a rehearsal dinner Friday evening at Beefmasters.
