John David Bass
John David Bass, CPA, age 67 of Knoxville, took off for his last journey on Monday, March 20, 2023. He would have celebrated his 68th birthday April 21st.
David grew up in Oak Ridge, TN., where he developed his love of hunting and fishing with his dad. David's love was hunting and fishing at Big South Fork. He obtained his bachelors degree at Tennessee Tech, and received his masters degree from the University of Tennessee. After a few years, he opened his own CPA practice and helped many clients with their IRS problems. He made many friends who he loved dearly. There were many who supported him through his short illness, and they will never be forgotten. Our hearts are broken but we know that he is with his family and friends that have passed before, having a wonderful reunion of love. When David became ill he said "If I have helped one person during my lifetime, then I will be happy."
David is preceded by parents, A.P. and Evelyn Bass; brother, Steve E. Bass; nephew, "Little" Steven Bass Jr.
He is survived by partner and soulmate, Wanda Sterchi; brother, Dr. Paul Bass III (Judy) of Tullahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; cousins, Frankie Moore, Guinn Moore; aunt, Ruby Bass.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 4pm-5pm at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel. A Celebration of Life will begin at 5pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made in John's honor to the Alzheimer?s Association, or Caris Healthcare and Hospice.
