Ollie Jean Bass, age 83 of Marion, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Marion Manor. She was born December 26, 1937 in Johnson County, KY to the late Elijah and Essie (Cantrell) Moore.
On April 2, 1954 she married John Blevins and they had seven children. On April 18, 1970 she married Lewis Bass.
Ollie worked as a nurse?s aide over the years. In her spare time she enjoyed bingo, her Bible, fishing, and spending time with family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by three sons: Jonathan (Sandra) Blevins of Hager Hill, KY, James Blevins, Mark Blevins; two daughters: Ella Blevins and Lorie Layne, all of Marion; sister, Diane Jones, of Marion; eighteen grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by both husbands; her parents; two daughters: Molly Humphrey and Martha Blevins; one grandson; one granddaughter; seven brothers; four sisters; and a special daughter-in-law Patty Blevins and Shirley Blevins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Snyder Funeral Homes, Gunder/Hall Chapel, 347 West Center St., Marion from 12Noon to 1PM; funeral service will follow at 1PM with Minister Opal Collinsworth officiating; burial will be in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
