Christmas Wedding At Home Of Mrs. Moran
Daughter of Founder of The Journal Bride of Son of the South
Quiet Wedding
The home of Mrs. W.H.W Moran was the scene of a quiet but impressive wedding ceremony at 7 p.m. on Christmas day, when Miss Portia Moran became the bride of Mr. Roscoe Bass, the Rev. A.S. Gibson, rector of Trinity Church, officiating.
The interior of the home was appropriately decorated with evergreens and flowers making a most beautiful setting for the occasion.
The wedding march was rendered by Mrs. Gibson, and to the melody of DeKoven?s ?O. Promise Me,? given an added charm by the voice of Miss Louise Maloney, the happy pair pledged themselves according to the impressive ritual of the Episcopal Church.
Miss Moran is the daughter of the late W.H.W. Moran, founder of The Manassas Journal, who was a brilliant author and journalist. Mr. Bass is a native of Mississippi, and is associated with the United Cigar Company.
The newly married pair left for an extended tour in the north after which they will be at home to their friends in Washington.
