Mr. and Mrs. George Washington Bassett, of Clover Lea, Hanover county, Virginia, celebrated their golden wedding on the 1st inst. Bassett is a grand nephew of Martha Washington and Mrs. Bassett a grand-niece of General Washington. They are probably the oldest living relatives of the Father of his Country, and are aged respectfully seventy-six and sixty-nine years.
